Week 35

We made it to 8 months! This kid is full of personality and knows exactly how to get what he wants.

Everett got a quarantine haircut because he had a mullet/bangs/comb over situation that needed to be fixed. Luckily Aunt B is his personal hair stylist and he’s a VIP customer so she made a house call.

He started giving us this toothy, scrunched face smile when he’s really happy and acting silly. Everett started getting himself into some predicaments with furniture around the house and watching him figure it out has been so fun!

Week 34

Everett officially has 6 teeth! He’s mastered a hand/coordination toy, learned that he can chase balls around the house, and started rearranging furniture with his super baby strength. The baby in the mirror is his best friend but he’s figuring out how to fit Lucy and Lola into his life as well.

His communication skills are growing as he learns new sounds. But we learned he does not like Dad’s fake snore.

Week 33

Week 33 found Everett exploring the kitchen and figuring out how to open drawers and cabinets; Lee and Megan are nose deep in baby proofing research.

Aunt Belle and Uncle Dan helped us plant a lime and mandarin orange tree over the weekend. We can’t wait to see E and the trees grow together!

Everett officially has 5 teeth! He’s learned new sounds to make and loves hearing himself talk. He worked up the courage to crawl through the grass a bit and we’re all proud of his bravery.

He refuses to hold his own bottle but has mastered the straw. And a book cover is on the list of food (?) tried this week.

Week 32

Everett continued to practice his new skills: working on his pincer grasp, crawling faster, standing up more often, and talking to anyone who will listen! He recognizes patterns and is getting the hang of cause and effect. His memory continues to impress us!

He got stuck in a few places, tried new food, and learned how to use a straw. Proud parents over here.

Week 31

Everett turned 7 months old this week!

Cruising around furniture is getting easier for him and he’s having fun exploring parts of the house he hasn’t been able to. He also started talking a lot more! Lots of babbling and repeating our babble
